Outpatient Program

At MetroMind, we work with our patients to determine the best methodologies to help treat their needs by helping them understand and cope with their emotional triggers and tendencies. We incorporate behavioral techniques, therapeutic methods, and pharmaceutical therapies to treat mental health issues and substance use disorders.

As with many other types of mental health treatment, there is not just one type of therapy. Instead, MetroMind offers a range of treatment options to best suit your individual concerns. The most common types include:

Recovery coaching pairs people in recovery with a person whose goal is to help support you on every step of your recovery.

While medication is not right for everyone, many patients do find success with prescription medication. For some of these individuals, medication is necessary only in the short term. Other patients may need long-term medication to treat chronic mental health issues.

Neuropsychology focuses on two things: the brain’s physical structure and our psychological behaviors. Those practicing neuropsychology typically work in one of two areas: cognitive neuropsychology and clinical neuropsychology. These two areas of study complement one another. Those in the cognitive field provide research that informs clinical practice and vice versa.

Psychological tests and evaluations aim to examine a person’s mental health, provide any applicable diagnoses, and answer specific questions about a person’s well-being. Depending on the type of evaluation, the results can help people get the care they need, understand a child’s educational needs, qualify for certain surgeries, and more.

There are many barriers to finding and using mental health services, including transportation, mobility, and local availability. We offer telehealth services because we believe that everyone who needs mental health services should be able to get them. LifeStance offers access to a full array of mental health providers online and makes it possible for many of the people who have previously been left out of the system to now get the help they need.

TMS treatments target the prefrontal cortex. This area of the brain is responsible for impulse control and managing emotions. The magnetic waves TMS therapy produces penetrate the prefrontal cortex and other areas of the brain. TMS also helps promote the stimulation of neurons that carry messages across different parts of the brain. In short, this helps reduce symptoms related to depression, such as apathy, hopelessness, and pervasive sadness. Lastly, this allows individuals to experience life fully instead of depression holding them back.
